【新唐人08月04日訊】尊敬的女士、先生：
我寫此信的目的是為了提請您緊急關注BBG（美國廣播委員會）決定取消與歐洲衛星通信公司的W5衛星合約並租用受中共控制的亞洲三號衛星一事，而且BBG的決定已造成歐衛從08年6月16日起就徹底中斷了新唐人電視台的對華轉播信號。
誠如您所知，新唐人是全球唯一不受中共審查過濾的獨立華語電視台，在過去的幾年間，新唐人已成為飽受信息封鎖之苦的廣大中國民眾獲取自由資訊的希望之燈。
1941年1月，偉大的羅斯福總統在他的著名演說“四大自由”中闡述了關於未來世界新秩序的美好理念：
“在未來的歲月裡，我們要努力尋求和平安定，我們將期待在四項人類自由的基礎上建立一個新世界。
第一，在世界的任何一方，人們都享有言論自由。
第二，在世界的任何一方，人們都享有以自己的方式崇拜上帝的自由。
第三，在世界的任何一方，避免匱乏的自由……
第四，在世界的任何一方，免於恐懼的自由……”
可悲的是，時隔六十七載之後，在大洋的另一方，超過十三億的中國人至今依然不能享有此四種自由。邪惡的中共壟斷和肆意使用暴力，剝奪人民的財產，以及最重要的是，剝奪人民的言論和新聞自由，剝奪人民的自由精神和意志，以達到其絕對控制社會權力的目標。
欣喜的是，新唐人的出現使她成為中國人獲取自由資訊的最重要途徑之一。
而今，BBG令人匪夷所思的錯誤決定等於公開支持和幫助了中國共產獨裁政權對中國民眾的信息封鎖，並使中國民眾收聽美國之音和自由亞洲電台從此變得更加困難。
因此，誠請諸位運用各自的影響力以幫助新唐人盡快複播，我們將銘記和感激您為中國民眾重獲自由信息通道所做的一切。
藉由您的善意幫助，期盼四大自由的實現離我們中國人不再遙遠。

Please lend a hand for THE FOUR FREEDOMS of Chinese people
Dear Sir/Madam,
I’d like to draw your attention to the urgent issue that BBG decided to quit W5 of Eutelsat and rent Asiasat 3S which is under the control of the CCP, and even more, this decision had made New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV)’s broadcast to China shut-down completely by Eutelsat since June 16, 2008.
As you know, NTDTV is the only Chinese-language television station outside the reach of Chinese communist censorship. For a number of years NTDTV has been a beacon of hope for the masses of Chinese people living under a complete information blockade.
In January, 1941, the great president , Franklin Delano Roosevelt, made a famous speech of THE FOUR FREEDOMS, in which he says,
“In the future days, which we seek to make secure, we look forward to a world founded upon four essential human freedoms.
The first is freedom of speech and expression–everywhere in the world.
The second is freedom of every person to worship God in his own way–everywhere in the world.
The third is freedom from want …everywhere in the world.
The fourth is freedom from fear…everywhere in the world.”
Unfortunately, after 67 years, in our China, more than 1.3 billion people still cannot enjoy these four freedoms. The evil CCP has never hesitated to use monopoly control and force to rob people of their property. More importantly, it has deprived people of their freedoms of speech and of the press. It has raped people’s spirit and will in order to maintain its absolute control of power.
During the past a few years, NTDTV has played a very important role for Chinese people to get an access to freedom of information.
Now BBG’s wrong decision will assist the Chinese communist regime to deny freedom of information for millions of Chinese, and, it’ll be more difficult for them to receive VOA and RFA.
Please use your influence to restore NTDTV’s broadcast to China as soon as possible. We thank you for helping the Chinese people to regain access to freedom of information.
With your kindness and help, I believe THE FOUR FREEDOMS will not be so far away from China.
