Scholar Prays For Tiangong 1 Failure

Ordinary people have no interests in Tiandong 1,
so what about Beijing scholars?

Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA),
former professor Wang Fuchong, wrote on his microblog

praying for space station Tianggong 1』s public failure.
What were his reasons?

Tiangong 1 is the first Chinese space station.
It is said that most researchers come from BUAA.

But the day before its launch, former BUAA professor
Wang Fuchong wrote on his microblog

“praying for launch failure." And after it was launched,
he wrote “grieving for people』s difficult lives."

He was seriously criticized by the Chinese Communist Party
(CCP)』s official media internet spies.

His micro blog was closed on October 1.

Renowned commentator Li Jianmang expressed his support
for Wang. Li believes what Wang did is very righteous.
CCP leaders spend taxpayers』 money recklessly on image
projects,"As a taxpayer of course I can』t blame him."

Commentator Li Li, currently residing in the Netherlands,
also expressed understanding.
He said, as an economist, professor Wang knows
Chinese society more incisively.
Li Li believes it can be hard to comprehend that CCP spends
large amounts of money on “show-off projects"
before it can solve problems of basic social welfare,
such as people』s living, education, and medical care.

On September 27, two days before Tiangong 1』s launch,
a serious subway accident occurred in Shanghai,

injuring nearly 300 people. But CCP official media
understated this accident, using “minor crash" to describe it.

After the launch of Tiangong 1, all media in the mainland
have been focusing on space technology.

Meanwhile, people are upset about the lack of follow-up
reports on the Shanghai subway crashes.

Chinese affairs expert, Zhang Tianliang, thinks the outbreak
of people』s grievances is inevitable.

Zhang Tianliang: “Because China is an authoritarian society,
and CCP is an authoritarian political party,

it doesn』t need to discuss with people what it is to do.
There are many developments in space technology in U.S.,

and they are all ultimately used in people』s livelihood,
to improve people』s lives.

But CCP actually considers space technology as a way
to earn face. After the Beijing Olympics,

CCP』s nationalism has become useless. Chinese people
mock and despise these face projects more and more."

Netizens launched a vote on Sina microblog, asking
“Are you proud of today』s successful launch of Tiangong 1?"

Less than a half voted, “I am proud."
Most netizens said, “It is none of my business."

Zhang Tianliang: “If space technology is high-tech, subway
or high-speed railway can』t be considered as high-tech.

If you can develop that (space) technology,
why can』t you spend some efforts on things

that really relate to people』s life security and traffic security,
or medical care, social pension and education?

Why not pay attention to them and improve them?
I think CCP』s tricks aren』t working on people anymore."

CCP is eager to establish the world leading status in the space
technology area. Commentator Li Li thinks this is valueless.

Many countries have already shifted their focuses
on improving peoples lives.
