據海外媒體報導，傳薄熙來案10月15號將在長沙法院庭審。目前，大陸律師正在網路上熱烈討論，誰將是薄熙來的辯護律師，及薄熙來將在法庭上有怎麼樣的表現。不過，官方對此仍然只字不提。
另外，中共是否公布：薄熙來涉及「夥同周永康發動政變」、和「活摘法輪功學員器官」的罪行，仍然是外界關注薄案的焦點。有評論認為，如果中共僅以「腐敗」等相關的名義處理薄熙來，不僅無法讓薄「永遠翻不了身」，而且「挺薄派」也會不服，但是，如果公布薄熙來的這兩項罪行，中共則勢必走上死路。
網曝薄熙來打王立軍耳光新內幕
10月13號，大陸新浪微博上有網友爆料說，薄熙來搧王立軍耳光的真正原因，不是因為檢舉谷開來殺人，而是因為王立軍給谷開來的多封情書（包括私奔去澳洲開研究所）被發現。爆料網友描述當時情景說，王立軍被搧後長跪不起，還左右開弓自搧耳光。
這個消息迅速引起網友圍觀，隨後，最早披露「海伍德命案」消息的網友「蟹爸」也跟著爆料說：「接近重慶核心圈的人士說，王麗絹（王立軍）成立了一個重慶警察出國考察基金，後來發現其中有八千萬不翼而飛。基金由王直接控制。後王與谷在澳洲悉尼成立了一人體器官研究所，兩人都是研究所的投資者。王、谷在澳洲雙飛雙宿，是在去年底後為薄掌握。」
有網友認為，儘管爆料細節的真實度可以存疑，但是谷、王私情暴露，比較合理的解釋了當初薄為何當著眾多下屬的面，給了王那一個大耳光。
廖亦武：莫言是「國家詩人」
流亡德國的中國作家、異議人士廖亦武，日前強烈批評諾貝爾獎委員會將本年度文學獎頒發給中國作家莫言。
廖亦武在接受德國《鏡報》採訪時說，莫言是一個「國家詩人」，在必要的時候，他非常會見機行事。他說，莫言獲獎後，他在中國的朋友都問他，西方是不是把莫言看作是中國體制的延續和擴張。
甘肅又一藏人自焚死亡
據《自由亞洲電臺》報導，10月13號，甘肅省甘南州合作市又發生一起藏人抗議中共統治的自焚事件。據說自焚者是52歲的藏族人旦真多吉（Tamding Dojee），他是西藏拉卜楞寺第七世—-貢唐倉仁波切的爺爺。
報導說，事發後，當地軍警趕赴現場試圖搶走旦真多吉的遺體，但被民眾制止。目前當局增派了大批軍警到當地加強控制。
最新的這起自焚事件，將2009年2月以來中國西藏地區的自焚人數，增加到55人。

Lawyers Asking Who Will Defend Bo Xilai?
Overseas media reported that Bo Xilai’s trail
will begin on October 15.
Mainland China’ lawyers have heated discussions online
about who will be defending Bo and how.
However, as yet there’s no official announcement
on the issue.
The public is concerned whether the Chinese Communist
Party (CCP) will make public all Bo Xilai’ crimes.
Like his involvement in the “Zhou Yongkang’s coup,”
and organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners.
New Information on Why Bo Slapped Wang
On October 13, Chinese netizen posted on Sina Weibo yet
another reason why Bo Xilai slapped Wang Lijun on the face.
He claims the real reason is not
Wang’s reporting on Gu Kailai’s murder.
But because Bo found Wang’s love letters to Gu (including
such for both opening an institution in Australia together.)
The post describes how Wang got on his knees after Bo
slapped him on the face, and started slapping his own face.
This post got many people’s attention soon.
Netizen “Xieba,” who first disclosed information on
the “Neil Heywood murder case,” wrote about this too.
“Xieba” claims, “A Chongqing insider says, Wang found
a Chongqing Police Study Abroad Fund and controlled all its money.
RMB80 million of the fund’s money were missing.
Afterwards Wang established an institute for human organs
with Gu in Sydney, Australia and they lived and traveled together.
Bo found out this information
at the end of last year.”
Some netizens say although the details are doubtful,
Gu and Wang’s affair reasonably explains why Bo slapped Wang on the face in front of many other subordinates.
A Dissident: “Mo Yan is a 『National Poet』”
Liao Yiwu, Chinese dissident and writer in exile in Germany
criticized Mo Yan being awarded Noble Price for Literature.
Liao said for the German media The Mirror, that Mo Yan
is a national poet who knows how to make the right moves.
Mo Yan’s friends asked Mo if the western world sees him
as a continuation and expansion of China’s system.
Another Tibetan Dies from Self-immolation
Radio Free Asia reported on October 13, about the death
from self-immolation of Tamding Dorjee, 54.
He is a grandfather of a revered Tibetan Buddhist figure,
and self-immolated against the CCP’s rule at the Tsoe monastery in Gansu Province.
The report says, local riot police attempted to take the body,
but were stopped by people. More police were dispatched.
Tamding Dorjee brings the death toll from self-immolations
to 55, since this form of protest started in February 2009.
