【新唐人2014年02月28日訊】香港《明報》前總編輯，世華網路營運總裁劉進圖週三遇襲，身中6刀，目前仍在醫院接受治療。 2月27號早上，《明報》報頭從紅色轉為「黑色」，並宣佈懸紅100萬元緝兇。他們表示，不會被這次事件嚇怕，會堅持繼續工作。
《明報》報導說，香港警方26號深夜在案發現場一公里外，找到襲擊劉進圖兇徒的涉案電單車，並公開閉路電視上拍到的疑兇照片，呼籲市民提供線索。
美國領事館發表聲明表示「深切關注」襲擊事件。
香港記協、《明報》員工關注組、獨立評論人協會、國際記者聯會、大赦國際等組織，紛紛發表聯合聲明，譴責這一暴行是對香港治安及法制的挑戰，也是對香港新聞和言論自由的挑釁。聲明還表示，香港是法治社會，絕不容許暴力襲擊肆虐。
香港記協主席岑倚蘭：「我們已經將這個事情完全交給香港警方來調查，我們對兇徒的暴行，極度的、嚴重的譴責，這個兇徒在光天化日之下做出這個襲擊，對一個新聞工作者襲擊，這個是很嚴重很嚴重的事情，是對香港法制的挑戰。」
《明報》編務總監兼總編輯張健波說，劉進圖遇襲前沒有任何徵兆，《明報》不會因此害怕，將堅持現有報導方針，不會被這次事件嚇怕。
負責劉進圖案件的港島總區署理警司關競斌對外表示，26號10點20分，49歲的劉進圖在西灣河鯉景灣附近泊車時，兩名騎電單車的兇徒過來，其中一人持利器從背後襲擊劉進圖，然後兩人迅速逃竄。
劉進圖負傷打電話報警。警方趕到把劉送院搶救。醫生說劉進圖身中6刀，背部傷口長達16厘米，割斷背肌，目前仍在深切治療，已沒有生命危險。
有香港資深刑偵探員表示，兇徒持利刀斬傷劉進圖的手法，教訓多於取命。
香港時事評論員林和立：「《明報》它過去幾年揭露了不少名人或是大公司不太光彩的一些消息。我估計跟他主持的編務，揭露了一些香港以及中國大陸一些黑暗的消息可能有關係，我估計是跟香港的新聞自由有關。」
《明報》一向以揭露中港兩地的黑暗面著稱，劉進圖在任期間，《明報》深入調查了特首梁振英，還曾追查大陸民主人士李旺陽「被自殺」事件，以及國際記者調查聯盟（ICIJ）公布的中共權貴們離岸資產的調查。
1月6號，劉進圖突然被撤銷《明報》總編職務，引發記者們的憤怒，劉進圖手下超過90%的職員提交請願信要求解釋劉進圖被撤職一事，一些《明報》專欄作家更以開天窗的方式抗議報社的作法。
劉進圖遇襲前的2月23號，針對香港近期一系列新聞自由遭打壓事件，數千名港人上街抗議，不少人提出，劉進圖被撤職，反映出中共壓制香港媒體的趨勢，令人擔憂。
劉進圖遇襲後，多名《明報》員工、及新聞界組織的代表為劉進圖舉行祈禱會，期望他儘快康復、彰顯公義。 《明報》還決定懸紅一百萬元追緝兇徒。香港警方發言人說，警方高度重視這一案件，正全方位追緝兇手。
香港《開放》雜誌總編輯金鐘：「香港至少10多年來，這樣的事情已經發生過不止一次，包括有一些新聞工作者，包括名嘴也是涉及到被人家砍殺的，受到暴力襲擊這種案子，但這種案子，我可以告訴你，很多都沒有破案。」
近年來，香港發生多起針對媒體人的刑事襲擊案件，除《蘋果日報》縱火案有兩人被捕外，其餘都沒有破案。
香港《開放》雜誌編輯蔡詠梅指出，這些暴力事件的最大特徵，就是受害人在言論上和報導上，都是北京不喜歡的，並且都沒破案。她認為，這次即使抓到兇手，未必能查到幕後黑手。

Former Ming Pao Chief Editor Stabbed, Attackers Wanted
Ex Chief Editor of Hong Kong’s Ming Pao, Kevin Lau Chun-to,
was attacked on Wednesday.
Mr. Lau, with six stabbings, is severely wounded and remains
in the hospital for observation.
On Feb. 27, Ming Pao changed its logo from red to black, and
offered HK$1 million ($129,000) reward for capture of the attackers.
Ming Pao declared that the newspaper will continue in spite of
the incident.
Ming Pao reported that the police recovered the motorcycle
believed to be used by the suspects at midnight of the 26th
a kilometer away from the site of the attack.
Police released pictures of the attackers from surveillance
cameras and asked the public to provide clues.
“The U.S. Consulate General is deeply concerned about the
assault,” said the Consulate statement.
The attacked was condemned by the Hong Kong Journalists
Association, Ming Pao’s staff concern group, Independent
Commentators Association, International Federation of
Journalists, and Amnesty International.
They have all issued statements condemning the assault as a
challenge to law and order, and a provocation to the freedom
of press and speech in Hong Kong.
They asserted that Hong Kong will not tolerate violence
or lawlessness in Hong Kong.
Ms. Sham, Yee Lan, Chairman of the Hong Kong Journalists
Association: “We have relied entirely on Hong Kong police to
investigate.
We strongly condemn the violence of the assailants and their
attack on a member of the press in broad daylight.
This is a very serious challenge to Hong Kong’s
rule of law. “
Cheung, Kin-bor, Ming Pao’s interim chief editor stressed,
while there was no warning before Mr. Lau was attacked,
Ming Pao will not be intimidated and will insist on its existing
editorial policy.
Police reported that at 10:20 am of the 26th, the 49-year-old
Mr. Lau was stabbed from behind by a pair on a motorcycle
when he was parking.
The pair fled the scene on the motorcycle.
The wounded Mr. Liu managed to call the police.
Police rushed Mr. Lau to the hospital.
The doctor said Mr. Lau had six stab wounds.
One particular stab on the back was 16 cm long and
cut into the muscle.
He remains in hospital and is no longer in a critical
condition.
A Hong Kong senior criminal investigation officer said that
according to the wound, the assailants meant to teach Mr. Lau
a lesson more than to kill him.
Willy Wo-Lap Lam, Hong Kong political commentator:
“Ming Pao has reported many shady stories of celebrities or
big companies.
I believe it is connected to those news exposing stories in
Hong Kong and China during his post as editor.
I believe it has to do with press freedom in Hong Kong."
Ming Pao was always known for exposing the dark sides of
Hong Kong and China.
When Mr. Lau was the chief editor, Ming Pao conducted
in-depth investigative reports on HK Chief Executive Leung
Chun-ying, the “being suicided” Li Wangyang case in China,
and Chinese officials’ relatives offshore wealth exposed by
the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).
Mr. Lau was abruptly removed fromhis position as chief editor
on
Jan. 6.
This announcement caused a reaction of outrage from Ming
Pao’s journalists.
More than 90% of Mr. Lau’s staff demanded an explanation
over his dismissal.
Some Ming Pao columnists also protested against the dismissal
by issuing a blank commentary.
On Feb. 23, thousands of Hong Kong residents had taken to
the streets protesting a series of incidents suppressing Hong
Kong’s press freedom.
Many were concerned that Mr. Lau’s dismissal suggests
interference of the press by the Communist regime.
After the attack on Mr. Lau, many Ming Pao’s employees and
representatives of the journalists associations held a prayer meeting
wishing speedy recovery and justice for Mr. Lau.
Ming Pao also offered HK$1 million ($129,000) reward for
capture of the assailants.
HK police announced their determination to capture the attackers.
Jing Zhong, Hong Kong’s Open Magazine editor in chief:
“There have been such assaults in the past 10 years in Hong Kong.
Members of the media and talk show hosts were attacked
and
the majority of the cases have remained unsolved."
Of the many recent assaults on journalists in Hong Kong,
only the Apple Daily’s arson suspects were captured.
Hong Kong’s Open Magazine editor Cai Yongmei noted
these attacks share some common facts such as the victims
expressing issues not in favor with Beijing, and none of these crimes
have been solved.
She does not believe the mastermind of the plot will be captured
even if the assailants are arrested.
