Communist Violence Continues 25 Years After the Fall of Berlin Wall

Speaking on the eve of celebrations to mark the 25th
anniversary of the Berlin Wall’s collapse,
Chancellor Angela Merkel said the fall of the wall
had shown the world that dreams could come true.
Merkel said Germany would always be grateful
for the courage of East Germans who took to the streets
to protest the Communist dictatorship.

But, as analysts point out, even though the Berlin Wall fell,
Communism continues brutal violence against billions.

On the evening of Nov. 9, tens of thousands of people
attended events, including a “citizen’s party"
at the Brandenburg Gate.

7,000 helium balloons have been released into the night sky
to symbolize the Wall’s disappearance.

Merkel said in a speech, “The fall of the Wall showed us
that dreams can come true. Nothing has to stay as it is."
She called the Wall a “symbol of state abuse cast in concrete"
that “took millions of people to the limits
of what is tolerable."

The Berlin Wall, stretching 155 Km, was built in 1961
to stop East Germans fleeing to the West.

It was Nov. 4, 1989, when hundreds of thousands of East
Germans took the streets demanding democracy
and freedom.

The fall of Berlin Wall marked the end of the Cold War.

Former history professor Liu Yinquan: “Germany was a unified
country originally but split into two after World War II.
The Berlin Wall divided the so-called socialist camp
and the capitalist camp;
One was freedom democratic system,
and the other was the socialist system."

Merkel said, “During the course of 1989 more and more
East Germans lost their fears of the state’s repression
and chicanery, and went out on the streets."

“It is thanks to their courage the Wall was opened."

Merkel was a scientist in Communist East Berlin at the time.

“The Berlin Wall, this symbol of state abuse cast in concrete,
took millions of people to the limits of what is tolerable,
and all too many beyond it." said Merkel.

Speaking of the historical day, “There was just
this incredible feeling of happiness." she said.
“It was a night I’ll never forget."

For decades, many people tried to flee to West Berlin
and many ended up in jail for their attempts to escape.
At least 136 people were killed in the attempt.

Professor Liu Yinquan: “The socialist camp, the autocratic
and authoritarian Communist system, is violating the law
of human development and is against the trend of history.

These countries have suffered for years of major disasters
of massacre, oppression, exploitation, persecution.
That.s why the East Germans desired to flee
to West Germany for democracy."

NY Times reported that, “Stasi interrogators had once asked
a prisoner named Katrin Hattenhauer, a young rebel,
how she and her fellow dissidents held together.

She replied, “Where the hammer has come down,
whatever is underneath is going to hold together."

Wall Street Journal reported, “as the world marks the 25th
anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall on Nov. 9, 1989,
we should also remember the many dozens of people
who died trying to get past it."

“Ida Siekmann, the wall’s first casualty, died jumping out
of her fourth-floor window while attempting to escape
from East Berlin in August 1961.

Chris Gueffroy, an East German buoyed by the ease
of tensions between East and West in early 1989,
believed that the shoot-on-sight order for the Berlin Wall
had been lifted. He was mistaken.
Gueffroy would be the last person shot attempting
to flee Communist-occupied East Berlin."

“But Gueffroy was far from the last victim of communism.

Today, Communist regimes continue to brutalize and repress
the hapless men, women and children unlucky enough
to be born in the wrong country."

“In China, thousands of Hong Kong protesters recently
took to the streets demanding the right to elect their
chief executive in open and honest elections.

This democratic movement—the most important protests
in China since the Tiananmen Square demonstrations
and massacre 25 years ago—

was met with tear gas and pepper spray from a regime
that does not tolerate dissent or criticism."

On top of the firewall to stop the Chinese from getting
outside voices,
the Communist Party routinely censors, beats and jails dissidents,
and through the barbaric one-child policy has caused some
400 million abortions, according to statements by a Chinese
official in 2011, reported Wall Street Journal.

Commentator Lan Su: “Whenever the commemoration
of the fall of Berlin Wall, people cast their eyes on China,
the last bastion of the Communism.

It is a bankrupt bastion, a regime that lingers on collapsing
convictions.
Even the leadership don’t believe the Communism."

Lan Su believes the Communist regime will sooner or later
tumble down like the Berlin Wall.
It will suddenly disintegrate and collapse overnight.
The 1.5 billion Chinese people will completely revolt.
