【新唐人2014年12月04日訊】說到香港「佔中」的行動目前已進入第67天，三名發起人在星期三的下午到警署自首，以示尊重法治，承擔發起「佔中」的責任。面對外界壓力，他們表示沒有怨恨，沒有敵人，他們只是反對一個政權。他們還表示，自首不是懦弱，是履行承諾的勇氣﹔自首不是失敗，是對政府麻木不仁的無聲控訴。
12月3號下午3點，香港佔中發起人，香港大學法律系副教授戴耀廷、香港中文大學社會學系副教授陳健民、基督教牧師朱耀明，以及幾十名市民，前往香港中區警署自首。其中包括天主教香港教區榮休主教陳日君。
第一批進入警署自首的是「佔中三子」以及陳日君。他們進入警察署不到一個小時後出來。戴耀廷表示，警方預備了一個特別製作的自首單子，上面列出多個罪名，但他們只在「非法集會」上打了勾。目前仍不清楚，香港警方將如何對他們的自首行動作出回應。
2號，「佔中」運動發起人戴耀廷、陳健民、朱耀明聯合發表「告市民書」表示，「佔中」以公民抗命爭取普選，是因為政府對合法的示威遊行不但視若無睹，更肆意打壓，並批評警方過去兩個星期在佔領區強硬鎮壓示威者。
和平佔中發起人戴耀廷：「為了佔領者的安全、為了愛與和平的初衷，佔中三子趁自首之際，呼籲學生撤離，將運動轉化至社區深耕細作，延續雨傘運動的精神。」
朱耀明批評近日警方用警棍毆打手無寸鐵的市民，不能忍受，批評這個政權不但沒有誠信，而且無恥，無理性。
和平佔中發起人朱耀明：「想到很多人手無寸鐵被毆打，我無論在現場、在電視畫面，都使得我這個70多歲的老人家傷痛。」
「佔中」發起人之一戴耀廷稍早在網站上發表文章，建議在佔領行動結束後，應成立一個由法官組成的獨立調查委員會，調查香港警方在處理整件清理佔領場地事件中，是否有失誤，相關高層人員需要承擔責任。
對此，外界看法不一。
原《香港聯合報》文藝專欄作家張成覺：「我覺得現在就是用四個字來說，拭目以待吧，就看特區政府和北京方面怎麼回應，作為爭取真普選的香港市民，應該支持佔中三子這次這種大無畏的行動。」
獨立評論員張健：「如果說香港學生撤了，我倒覺得這真不是一個好事，哪怕只有在街頭留下幾個人來，這樣也好，也代表香港人在這運動當中，他們這種大無畏的精神去堅持，不要認為人少了就是不能號召大家，錯，就是在這個時候才讓人們更加看到，有這樣堅決的人，有這樣堅決維護香港未來的這些人，這些人是值得敬佩的，所以在香港這個問題上，我覺得佔中必須要曠日持久，要跟中共打一場持久戰。」
香港立法會議員單仲偕：「但是整個議題最終都是一個政治問題，解決政治問題也要靠政府來（解決），所以政府要承擔比較大的責任，就是要解決目前的政治困局，如果解決不了，縱使今天可以清場或者明天可以清場，但是這個政治困局、這個政治矛盾還在存在，將來還有其他的衝突會發生。」
「佔中三子」解釋自首的意義，他們說，公民抗命的本質就是通過非暴力的有限度的違法行為去感召人心，使更多人明白及接受背後的公義訴求。公民抗命者主動承擔刑責，就是透過自我犧牲去進一步衝擊人們內在的良知，促使他們反思。
獨立評論員張健：「我覺得香港從開始到今天，產生一切的後果，一旦是有人的生命財產造成重大損失這些問題，它唯一的責任就是中共，因為中共推翻了一國兩制，推翻了真普選，香港民眾的一個最基本的一個需求，它也沒有遵守香港基本法，這樣的話，產生的這些問題，最終的結果必須由中共來負責。」
香港立法會議員單仲偕：「大家都明白，這樣一場社會運動、群眾運動，很難透過一場群眾運動能夠達成甚麼具體的成果，但是無論是佔中三子或者是由香學領導的這場運動，我覺得已經超越過去所有的運動規模，已經激發群眾對政改的關心，我覺得已經是成功的。」
「佔中運動」於9月28號凌晨啟動後，香港專上學生聯會逐漸取代佔中三子，成為主導團體，其後「佔中運動」更被「雨傘運動」取代。

Occupy Trio’s Silent Complaints
On the 67th day of the Occupy Central movement, the three
co-founders turned themselves in to authorities
on Wednesday afternoon.
In the face of pressure, they showed respect for the rule
of law and commitment to the movement.
They indicated no resentment, no enemies,
but opposition to a regime.
“To surrender and bear the legal consequences
is to respect the rule of law," they said.
“Surrendering is not an act of cowardice,
it is the courage to act on a promise."
They also expressed, “to surrender is not to fail,
it is a silent denunciation of a heartless government."
At 3 p.m. on Dec. 3, Dr. Benny Tai, Chan Kin-man
and Reverend Chu Yiu-ming and dozens of Hong Kong
citizens turned themselves to the Central Police Station.
Cardinal Joseph Zen did the same.
The Occupy trios and Cardinal Joseph Zen were the first
to turn themselves in to the police.
In less than an hour, they left the police station.
Benny Tai told BBC that police officers
gave each a form.
They were asked to check off a list of offences.
The men checked the box for “illegal assembly."
It is not yet known how the police will follow up
on their surrenders.
In their letter to the Hong Kong People, the Occupy Central
trio indicated that, “the civil disobedience of Occupy Central
with the Love and Peace (OCLP) movement is a response to
the government’s turning a blind eye and wanton
suppression of lawful protests and rallies."
They condemned how, “the police have cracked down hard
on protesters in the occupied sites In the past two weeks."
Benny Tai: “For the sake of the occupiers’ safety, for the sake
of our original intention of love and peace, as we prepare
to surrender, we three urge the students to retreat –
to put down deep roots in the community and transform
the movement to extend the spirit
of the Umbrella Movement."
Chu Yiu-ming condemned the intolerable act of the police
attacking the unarmed protesters and the untrustworthy,
shameless and irrational regime.
Chu Yiu-ming: “It brings painful sorrow to me,
a 70-year-old man, just thinking of many unarmed people
being beaten whether it was when I was at the scene
or when I watched it on TV."
Benny Tai had earlier suggested that an independent team
of judges be organized to investigate any biased
and abusive police acts during the clear out.
After the Occupy Central movement, the relevant
administrators for the clearance should be held reliable.
People expressed their various views.
Hong Kong writer Zhang Chengjue:
“I can only say let’s wait and see.
However the HK government and Beijing would respond
that Hong Kong citizens who fight for true universal suffrage
should support the fearless actions of the Occupy Trio."
Independent commentator Zhang Jian: “If the students
also retreat, I really don’t think it’s a good thing.
Only by insisting on the street, even just a few, will they
demonstrate the people’s bravery and spirit
in the movement.
A few people can also enlighten the masses.
People will see clearly that these persistent people
insisted on safeguarding the future of Hong Kong
are the ones to be admired and respected.
Occupy Central must continue on the issue of Hong Kong
and fight a protracted battle with the CCP."
Hong Kong Legislative Council Sin Chung-kai: “But in the end,
it is the political issue that requires the government
to engage in and to resolve.
The government has to bear the larger responsibility
to resolve the current political impasse.
Otherwise, the clear out will continue.
As long as the political impasse and the political conflict
still exist, other conflicts will surely arise soon."
The Occupy Central Trio explained the meaning
of surrendering themselves.
Through civil disobedience, non-violence and limited
illegal action, they appeal their demands of justice.
The participants of civil disobedience take responsibility
for their offenses.
That in turn is a self-sacrifice further pounding on the
conscience of the people and prompting them to reflect.
Zhang Jian: “I think today in Hong Kong, all the
consequences from the beginning of the movement,
all the loss and damage to the lives and properties,
the CCP is solely responsible.
It is the CCP which overturned the one country,
two systems, the real universal suffrage,
the most fundamental demand of Hong Kong people,
and disobeyed Hong Kong Basic Law.
These issues have thus been generated.
The final consequences ought to be carried out
by the CCP."
Sin Chung-kai: “We have to understand that barely
any concrete results would be achieved with
such a massive social movement.
However, the Occupy Central or the student-led Umbrella
Movement has surpassed all the past movements.
It has inspired the people to show concern
with political reform.
I think it is a success."
Since the launch of Occupy Central with Love and Peace
on Sept. 28, Hong Kong Federation of Students gradually
replaced Occupy Central to become the leader
of the protest.
The Umbrella Movement replaced Occupy Central
in the fight for democracy.
