English NTD Job Openings in NYC
NTD Television is a privately held news media company. Headquartered in New York City, NTD serves millions of potential viewers in China and around the world.
Our network of local reporters throughout the world uncovers stories that are authentically local, yet also globally relevant.
We are looking for web-savvy news or non-news writer/editor, as well as video editor to join our English division to work on a variety of daily content for our website and Facebook page.
Web News Editor
Write and edit daily news on politics, business & economy, or science & technology etc. for the website.
Duties and Responsibilities
– Identify news topics in a timely manner
– Write compelling news content for web consumption and social media
– Self-monitor impact and adapt content strategies
Qualifications
– Minimum of an Associate’s Degree, preferably in Journalism, English, English Lit, Communications, Marketing, or like-minded writing intensive field
– Excellent writing, copy editing, and proofreading skills
– Experience promoting content on Facebook, and working with web/social analytics and insights a plus
– Teamplayer, self-motivated and proactive in daily work
Web Content Editor
Write and edit non-news articles that are highly engaging and inspiring for website and social media.
Duties and Responsibilities
– Identify trending topics and issues on social media and internet
– Write compelling content for web consumption and social media
– Self-monitor impact and adapt content strategies
Qualifications
– Minimum of an Associate’s Degree, preferably in English, English Lit, Communications, Marketing, or like-minded writing intensive field
– Excellent writing, copy editing, and proofreading skills
– Experience promoting content on Facebook, and working with web/social analytics and insights a plus
– Teamplayer, self-motivated and proactive in daily work
Video Editor
Create graphics and edit photos & videos for news or non-news content on the website and social media platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities
– Find footage, create graphics, and put together meaningful videos for story-telling
– Follow the video editing guideline in production
– Communicate regularly with editor or production manager to complete videos for web and social media
Qualifications
– Knowledge and skills with Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop required
– Experience promoting content on Facebook, and working with web/social analytics and insights a plus
– Highly creative and visual, and able to perform in a fast-paced and deadline oriented environment
– Teamplayer, self-motivated and proactive in daily work
