Against incorporation? Hu Yaobang’s Son Becomes President
of Yan Huang Chunqiu

He Deping, son of former (CCP) General Secretary Hu Yaobang,
becomes President of the Beijing political magazine
“Yan Huang Chun Qiu”, famous for its outspokenness.

This change is made before Ministry of Culture’s incorporation.

Former deputy premier’s son Lu De becomes executive president
and legal representative.

According to Radio Free Asia reports, the news was announced
by magazine president Du Daozheng at the plenary meeting on
October 24th.

Du Daozheng said he would serve as honorary president after
retiring.

Yanhuang Chunqiu started in 1991 by civil organize China
Yan Huang Culture Research Association.
It’s regarded as a liberal publication because of different
opinions and articles from the official Chinese publication.
This September, it’s said that the Chinese authorities requested
the Ministry of Culture to incorporate the magazine and finish
the process within 60 days.

It’s considered that Hu Deping is widely regarded as the princeling
rightist spiritual leader.
There is obvious opposition to him to serving as president before
the incorporation.

Plaza Vote is Shelved Due to Lack Of Negotiation

Hong Kong activity for Universal Suffrage continues.

The scheduled Plaza vote on October 26th and 27th was shelved
a few hours before the vote.

The organizations including Hong Kong Federations of Students
(HKFS), Scholarism, Occupy Central with Love and Peace
(OCPL), Pan-democracy Camp, as well as other civil organizations
explained the reason for cancellation at 15:00.
They also apologized with three bows to the occupiers in three
positions due to the lack of negotiation.

Hong Kong Leader of the Civic Party Alan Leong hoped the
shelved vote decision may allow the CCP Standing Committee
to have a reference and recognize the flexibility of every
decision.
He said: “how important is saving face when public opinion is
reasonable?"

Netizens Expose the Anti-Occupy Central System as Playgame

Meanwhile, Hong Kong anti-Occupy Central major league
CHOW Yung who launched a signature campaign to “Return
Road to the People" claimed they received more than 300 thousand
signatures within one day

However, netizens exposed their signature system as child’s
play; because people can sign successfully under the name “I
want election", or even use foul language.

Netizens said 1.3 billion signatures would not dream to have such
signatures.

Xinhua News Agency Criticized Hong Kong Businessman’s
No Attitude to Anti-Occupy Central

Oct. 25 noon, CCP mouthpiece Xinhua News Agency published
a signed article to criticize several businessmen for not
opposing the four week Occupy Central movement which
shocked Hong Kong business and political circles.
Hong Kong media reported that it’s analyzed the article set a bad
precedent, which is similar to the tactics of the Cultural Revolution
to urge everybody to “clarify”.
The businessmen Cheung Kong Chairman Li Ka-shing, Henderson
Land Chairman Lee Shau Kee, The Wharf Holdings Limited
Chairman Peter Woo, as well as Sugar King of Asia Robert
Kuok were criticized.

However, this article was removed at 19:00 from the Xinhua
News Agency.
It’s believed this is a different reflection from the CCP
propaganda and united front department.
