揭开中共权斗内幕的薄熙来案,一直为全球舆论关注,而对薄熙来的命运,也猜测纷纭。

8月26号,日本大报《朝日新闻》头版报导,中共高层已经在被称为“宫廷密谋”的北戴河非公开会议上决定,开除薄熙来党籍,并追究他对前重庆市副市长王立军投奔美国领事馆的责任。

报导说,目前中共正在准备剥夺薄熙来人大代表身份,以消除追究他刑事责任的法律屏障。

《朝日新闻》引述多名接触过参加北戴河会议的中共高层人士透露的消息说,尽管薄熙来的党内后盾、江泽民一派反对严厉处罚薄熙来,但胡锦涛领导的共青团派系成功抵制了这种反对。

报导还透露,这项决定预计会在十八大召开前的中共中央委员会全体会议上宣布。

《朝日新闻》分析说,开除薄熙来党籍的决定,显示着中共召开十八大,调整新的最高领导层人选的权力斗争中,胡锦涛派系已经占据优势。

德国驻华记者要求默克尔保护

26名派驻中国的德国记者,8月26号写信给即将访华的德国总理默克尔,揭露他们在中国的工作环境越来越恶化,希望默克尔保护记者,并在与中共领导人会谈时专门讨论此事。

这封有26名德国记者签名的信件表示,中共政府有意阻碍他们在中国的工作,采用的手段包括威胁不给延长签证,恫吓中国雇员,以及向被采访人施压,要他们不接受采访。

信中说,从1990年代就开始在中国工作的资深德国记者,目睹了工作环境恶化的过程,现在的状况甚至不如当年。

这些记者们说,他们只是希望自己能够得到像中国派驻德国的记者那样的工作条件。

陕西特大车祸现场 官员嬉笑遭怒骂

8月26号凌晨,陕西延安境内发生特大交通事故,一辆内蒙牌照的双层卧铺大客车,追尾撞上了一辆河南牌照的甲醇罐车,引发甲醇泄漏起火。大客车被火海包围,车上39名乘客仅3人逃生,36人葬身火海。大陆网友对事故造成如此多的遇难者感到痛心,纷纷表示哀悼。

但有细心网友意外发现,在事故现场图片中,有一名官员却笑容满面。这一画面激起网民的愤怒,纷纷进行“人肉”,最后查出,这名官员是陕西省安监局局长杨达才。随后,网络上对这位冷血官员的质问、怒骂和讥讽词不断涌出。

Bo To Be Expelled From CCP, Says Japanese Media

Bo Xilai’s incident, which exposed the Chinese Communist
Party’ (CCP) infighting, still draws media attention.
A Japanese media published information, that the recently
held CCP elites’ meeting in Beidaihe decided to hold Bo responsible for his actions.

On August 26, Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun reported,
CCP’s elite made decision on Bo’s fate at Beidaihe’s meeting.
The outcome is to expel Bo from the party and investigate
his responsibility for the former Chongqing vice mayor Wang Lijun’s fleeing to the US consulate.

The report also said that Bo would likely be stripped
of his status as a delegate to the National CCP Congress.
This is expected to clear the obstacles
during the investigation on Bo’s crimes.

The Asahi Shimbun referred to sources that have contacts
with officials who attended the Beidaihe meeting.
They said Hu Jintao and his allies overrode objections
by Jiang Zemin’s faction and other strong supporters of Bo.

The report also said that the official announcement on Bo’s
punishment is expected to come in the meeting of the Central Committee, scheduled right before the 18th Congress.

The report says, Bo’s expulsion shows Hu has maintained
the upper hand in decision-making during the power struggle of the top-level leaders for the 18th Congress.

German Journalists in China Request Merkel’s Protection

On August 26, German journalists based in China wrote
to Chancellor Angela Merkel who will visit China shortly.
The letter exposed worsening conditions for reporters there
and urged Merkel to protect reporters and raise this issue with the country leaders.

The letter signed by 26 German journalists complained that
China’s regime had been “willfully obstructing their work” by threatening to not renew working visas.
In addition, they intimidate Chinese assistants and pressure
interviewees to not talk to us, the journalists say.

The letter states that German journalists who have been
working in Beijing since 1990s have been observing a deterioration of the situation.

They also wrote that they just ask for the same working
conditions that the Chinese journalists enjoy in Germany.

Netizens Critical To Officer’ Smile At An Accident

On the morning of August 26, Yanan in Shanxi provinces’
road had a major traffic accident.
A double deck coach with Inner Mongolian license
crashed into a chemical truck from Henan, causing a fire.
The coach burned in flames, 3 of the 39 passengers escaped,
but the rest 36 died in the flames.
The accident was publicized and netizens expressed
their grief towards the victims.

However, netizens found out that on the photos taken at the
accident site, an officer was smiling, which stirred them up.
They searched on the internet and identified that this officer
was Shaanxi’s Administration Secretary, Yang Dacai.
Soon, many questions, curses and satire remarks started
to flow out about his insensitive reaction to human tragedy.
