大陆微博最近疯传中石油董事长蒋洁敏神秘失踪，而中石油官方网站近期也鲜少披露蒋洁敏的活动消息。传闻更指出：蒋洁敏是在8月15号，借海外工程招标的时候在境外失踪。
4号晚，中石油官方网站发布消息“辟谣”，指称蒋洁敏在集团公司领导工作例会上发言。不过，这篇文章并没有配发图片。在此之前，中石油内部相关人士表示，蒋洁敏目前正在住院。因此，不少网友表示，中石油的所谓“辟谣”，并没有“释疑”。
方滨兴生病 缺席开学典礼 引猜测
8月29号，北京“邮电大学”新一届学生开学典礼上，校长方滨兴在演讲稿中自述，自己因患病无法出席。这一情况引发外界猜测。9月4号，有网友指称方滨兴被诊断出患有重病，也有网友说，方滨兴是患了直肠癌。
方滨兴又被称为“防火墙之父”。不少网友对方滨兴生病的消息表示庆祝。网友“jasen1102”说：“要不是看在天色已晚，我早去楼下买两瓶啤酒、一碟烤串，庆祝一番了……”
目前，“方滨兴 直肠癌”的相关消息已经被新浪微博封杀。
原重庆市公安局副局长因受贿罪被捕
继原重庆市公安局局长王立军落马后，副局长唐建华因涉嫌受贿罪，于8月13号被重庆市检察院批准逮捕。唐建华的妻子黄某，在9天后也被刑事拘留。大陆媒体4号首次对这一消息作出报导。
报导引述接近唐建华家属的消息人士话说，唐建华早在6月27号已经被调查组带走。
对此，有网友表示，从昔日的“打黑英雄”到现今的“受贿”犯罪，真是极大的讽刺。
方大国被停职？ 广州越秀武装部否认
“南航空姐被打”事件持续发酵。《人民日报》官方微博3号发布消息，打人的广州市越秀区委常委、武装部政委方大国已经在2号停职检查，接受进一步处理。《央视》也证实了这一消息。不过，广州市越秀区武装部却否认说，方大国没有被停职。有网友质问：到底是群众被忽悠了？还是当局想等冷一冷再说？
网友爆料“表哥” 杨达才“新爱”
目前在网路上人气极高的陕西“表哥” 杨达才，又被网友爆料，说他除了喜欢微笑、肚子大，和戴世界名表创记录外，居然还常在公共场合戴手镯。
网友表示，欢迎大家围观扩散这个消息，并希望鉴定“表哥”的手镯到底是铂金、白金还是白银的？又到底有几只呢？
英媒指中共十八大存变数
薄熙来事件的阴影仍然笼罩着中共。英国BBC引述《独立报》9月4号的报导说，有高层消息人士表示，十八大将在10月15号到18号期间召开。不过也有猜测说，薄熙来事件可能会导致十八大延期举行。
报导还提到，“中共希望强调新一代领导人在领导方式上会采取全新的方式”，不过，报导并没有指出是怎么样的方式。

Missing Abroad, PetroChina Claimed Chairman In Hospital
Rumors on Weibo Microblog widely spread that Jiang Jiemin,
Chairman of PetroChina, strangely went missing.
PetroChina’s official website has hardly mentioned
Jiang’s latest news.
Rumors said that Jiang went abroad for business bids,
and he took the chance to flee on August 15.
On the evening of the 4th, PetroChina official website claimed
that Jiang made a speech at a regular leadership meeting.
However, their website published the news without photos.
Not long ago, a source from PetroChina staff said that
Jiang is now in a hospital.
Many netizens said that PetroChina’s denial didn’t
answer questions.
Netizens Celebrate News of Fang Binxing’s Illness
On August 29, in an opening ceremony at Beijing University
of Posts and Telecommunications, principals Fang Binxing
said in his written statement that due to the illness,
he couldn’t attend the ceremony.
It caused discussion amongst outsiders.
On Sept. 4, netizens said that Fang ha had rectum cancer.
Fang Binxing was called the “Father of Firewall.”
Many netizens celebrate the news of Fang’s illness.
Netizen Jasen1102: “If it isn’t too late now, I will go out
to buy two bottles of beer and some grills to celebrate it…”
Now all news of Fang’s diagnosis with rectum cancer
has been censored by Sina microblog.
Chongqing Vice Police Chief Arrested for Corruption
Following former Chongqing police chief Wang Lijun’s
incident, Tang Jianhua, vice police chief was arrested on Aug. 13 for suspicious taking of bribes.
Nine days later, Mrs. Huang, wife of Tang Jianhua,
was detained.
However, media didn’t release the news until September 4.
The news cited a close link to Tang’s family who said that
Tang had been taken away on June 27 by an investigation committee.
Thus, some netizens said that it was a big joke that
Tang claimed to be an anti-corruption hero in the past,
while today he became a criminal of corruption.
Authorities Denied Fang Daguo Was Suspended From Job
The incident involving the China Southern Airlines stewardess
who was beaten and abused continues to trigger public outcry.
People’s Daily released news on their microblog
that Fang Daguo, an army colonel from Guangzhou City,
has been suspended from his job for further investigation.
The Central TV has confirmed the news.
However, military authorities in Guangdong denied that
Fang was suspended from work.
Netizens questioned whether the public were lied to
or the authorities planned to calm the public.
Netizens Discovered Yang Dacai’s New Habit of Wearing Bracelets
Recently, it was discovered that Yang Dacai, an extremely
popular public figure on the Internet who goes by,
“Shaanxi cousin,” was exposed by a netizen to be partial
to wearing bracelets in public,
in addition to his affinity for smiling,
his big belly,and his wearing expensive watches.
Netizens welcomed everyone to spread the news in hopes
of finding out what his bracelets are made of – coated gold,
white gold or silver, and how many bracelets he has.
British media said the 18th National Congress under construction
The Bo Xilai incident still casts a shadow over
the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The UK’s BBC cited The Independent newspaper
issued on Sept. 4, who reported that
a source with close links to high-ranking delegates
said that the 18th Congress will begin between 15-18 October.
Some sources said that the Bo Xilai affair
maybe delay the 18th Congress.
The report also said that the CCP was keen to stress that
the new generation would offer a very different brand of leadership.
However, the report didn’t state the details of the move.
