Patriotism survey – the CCP is the least patriotic

On their October 1 show, “What is patriotism,” the CCP
mouthpiece CCTV, surveyed public opinion of patriotism.
What is patriotism and its relevant behavior?
The followings are some of the voices.

For days, CCTV reporters interviewed passersby for the new
show, “What is patriotism” to air during the October 1 holiday.

An elementary student in Nanjing replied, “Patriotism
is to assist elderly women in crossing the street.”
A resident of Xining city, Qinghai, answered,
“Rumors are unpatriotic.”
A Beijing citizen said, “Corruption is an unpatriotic
behavior.”

Xinhua, the state media, reported that recently people toast
to each other by saying, “Wish you more patriotism.”
Xiao Han, a Chinese writer, questioned on his blog,
“Does that mean the more you drink,
the more patriotic you’ll become?”

Some bloggers also commented that it is ironic that Xinhua
actually claimed this obvious joke of a phrase
to be an expression of patriotism.

Commentator Sema Tai indicates that “patriotism"
is an innate instinct and emotion.
The interview itself is a joke.

It reflects the Communist regime is losing its control
of the people.

Sema Tai, commentator:
“People are skeptical of the Communist Party.
They despise the regime.

The regime wants to know if the people
are no longer patriotic.
It proves the failure of the brainwashing propaganda
of the CCP."

The influential real estate tycoon Ren Zhiqiang indicates that
CCTV had interviewed him at the end of September.
At that time, he predicted that the interview
would not be aired.

When asked “What is patriotism," he replied, “Criticize every
wrongdoing of the government so that
people live a better life and enjoy more rights and freedom."

He also said, “It is the most unpatriotic act to allow
government to indulge in abuse of power."

As expected, his interview was not aired on the CCTV show.

A Harbin native, Zhao Jingzhou, indicates CCTV
was being selective with the interviews.
The purpose was to turn the show into praise of the CCP.

Zhao Jingzhou, a Harbin citizen:
“I love my country, but not the Communist Party.
It is to confuse the public.

We are the people to the CCP, but we will be the citizens
when we are strong.
The CCP is no longer sustainable.

It is trying to force us to say we love it."

China expert Zhang Tianliang believes patriotism
is to care for the land, the people and the culture.
The CCP is precisely the unpatriotic one and the traitor.

[Zhang Tianliang, China expert]: “The Communist Party
is the most unpatriotic one.
They betrayed the Chinese by selling many territories,
including Mongolia during the Mao era and the ones sold
by Jiang Zemin via treaty.

They destroy the culture, and they devastated
so many Chinese."

Chinese historian Xin Haonian once said, “Be a Chinese,
not a Marxism descendent."
Sema Tai believes the quit the CCP activities
have demonstrated awareness of the distinction
between the country and the party in China.

The genuine patriotism is to make a clean cut from the CCP
and to fight for freedom and democracy.

According to the Epoch Times statistics, 147 million Chinese
have withdrawn from the Communist Party
and its associated organizations.
